Discussion of AFFON with representative from Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development on Agroforestry promotion in Nepal.Various ideas and concepts have been discussed including issues of family forest and agroforestry, agroforestry policy and potential models, and areas of collaboration to work together. Around 1 million hectares of agriculture land is barren in Nepal out of which AFFON has proposed 50% of land to promote as Agroforestry or family forestry.
