Honorable Ghanshyam Khatiwoda Federal Parliamentarian and Member Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resource Committee amidst a program organized in Kanepokhari, Morang committed to take the issues of Family Forestry to the Parliament, encourage farmers to test the quality of their soil before plantation and take care of the geographical landscape ! The program was chaired by Central Vice-Chairperson (Province 1 ) Mr. Laxman Pathak whereas Central Secretary Mr. Nabin Poudel’s coordination.
Mr. Tara Bahadur Kafle, Chairperson Kanepokhari Rural Municipal remained the special guest of the program whereas, Deputy Mayors of Belbari and Pathari Municipality Mr. Dhaka Parajuli, Yamuna Bista , Kanepokhari Vice Chairperson Rajamati Ingnam and ward chairpersons of ward 2,6 and 7 actively participated n the interaction.
Also, a visit was made to a nearby Family Forest of Chandra Mani Tamang located in Kanepokhari 6 . Mr. laxman Pathak added that government has always been neglecting the issues of Family Forestry and urged that farmers should be allowed to plant and take care of all kinds of tree species in their Family Forests. Also, he informed that provisions have been made for registering family forests and tax concession in the land tax yet this process is really hectic. And announced that Morang will be made a Green City by planting trees in barren and abandoned land in the lead role of !
