AFFON conducted a mass zoom meeting on 28th September in solidarity with Social Welfare Council, Nepal’s celebration of 41st Social Service Day and the whole week ! The meeting was entitled ” Contributions and
Opportunities of Family Forestry in Social Service Sector “! Honorable Minister, Ministry of Forests and Environment, Mr. Shakti Bahadur Basnet was chaired as the chief guest of the program ! Whereas, the panelist pool included of Dr. Radha Wagley, Chief of Climate Change Division, Mr. Ghanshyam Pandey, Treasurer , Municipal Association of Nepal, Ms. Bharati Pathak, Chairperson, Federation of Community Forest Users Group Nepal, Dr. Maniram Banjade, Member, Social Welfare Council. Forest Expert , Mr. Bijaya Raj Poudyal presented a powerpoint presentation on the same topic ! The program was facilitated by General Secretary AFFON, Ms, Aarati Pathak !

More than 100 participants participated in the meeting including various NRM partners, AFFON CCMs , Steering Committee Members, District Chairpersons and members, and staffs of AFFON. Many positive commitments have been received from Honorable Minister and all other participant stakeholders.
