On 15th December, Kathmandu district committee organized an Interaction program in local level at Fikkal park Kageshwori Manohara, Ward-7 in the invaluable presence of Honorable Province Parliamentarian Mr. Maniram Khanal (Chief Guest) , Deputy Mayor Kageshwori Manohara Mrs. Bindu Simkhada, Chairperson AFFON Mr. Jograj Giri chaired the program. Whereas Senior Vice Chairperson AFFON Mrs. Indira Ghimre, Bagmati Province Incharge and Central Vice-chairperson Mrs. Sushila Khatiwoda remained the other guests of the program.
Honorable Province Parliamentarian Mr. Maniram Khanal committed to support this neon campaign carried out by AFFON and also requested to perform a survey in the municipality in order to find out the condition of the land, family forest owners, their forests, probable species and many more facts.
Whereas, Deputy Mayor Kageshwori Manohara Mrs. Bindu Simkhada, stated that it is a new concept for all of us and she added her own experience that cutting a tree might even imprison us ! And added the commitment of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality is always positive towards this campaign of Family Forestry.
The inauguration was done by Honorable Province Parliamentarian Mr. Maniram Khanal and Deputy Mayor Kageshwori Manohara Mrs. Bindu Simkhada, by illuminating the candles. The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Radha Dhungana, Member Kathmandu AFFON, whereas the overall interaction program was hosted by Secretary Kathmandu District Mr. Ramji Dhakal, Coordinated by Chairperson AFFON Kathmandu district Mrs. Rita Phuyal Chapagain. The interaction meeting has formulated a new ad hoc committee of 15 members in the lead role of Mr. Prabhu Bhandari. AFFON Center would like to congratulate and extend best wishes to the newly formed committee for their successful tenure !
