Dhulikhel municipality has recently passed it’s Forest Act which has made welcoming provisions for Family forests. The welcoming provisions have been made in the following sections of the Act.
Section 5 (Formation of Municipal Forest Council ) : A member of Family forest will also be one of the members in the council.
Section 7: 1 ( Provision related to Family Forests ) : After the registration of Family Forests , municipality will provide registration certificate and will monitor the overall management and value chain of family forests allowing the free marketing of forest products.
Section 7: 2 (In the timber harvesting and transportation, the local bodies will provide orders which will allow the family forest owners in all over Nepal.
