The government has partially lifted the ban on timber collection, transportation and sale in the forest area. Now, wood and firewood other than sal will be available for cutting and transporting. The private population is also banned from cutting, selling and transporting.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on June 10th has decided to remove the ban on the sale, distribution and transportation of timber collection in forest areas across the country. However, there is a ban on the cutting, mowing, collection and distribution of sal trees.
