Today, 29th May, 2020 , AFFON Chairperson, Mr. Jograj Giri participated in a virtual meeting with Honorable Minister, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens Mr.Parbat Gurung, Honorable Member of the National Planning Commission Min Bahadur Shahi and other chairs and representatives of other associations, institutions and networks.The virtual meeting was chaired by Honorable Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Parbat Gurung, Honorable Member of the National Planning Commission Min Bahadur Shahi and coordinated by NGO Federation of Nepal.
The meeting basically focused on measures to prevent and control COVID-19, activities carried out for relief distribution . Also, discussing about the action plans to be prepared with appropriate work divisions, roles and responsibilities and Social Development Act.
AFFON too shared about it’s interventions during the response ; played radio jingles on COVID-19 for awareness, worked for relief distribution and published relevant articles for sensitizing people .
