The terraces of Pratapkot, Tulsipur are now green with Timbur plants, thanks to the efforts of AFFON and local farmers who have planted them on private land. The plants not only make the hill beautiful but also provide a strong source of income for the locals, with the market demand for Timbur being high. Association of Family Forest Owners (AFFON) have formed different groups and distributed Timbur seedlings, providing technical support as well. The Timbur tree has a range of uses, including medicinal properties, as a spice in cooking, and as a cleaning agent for dental hygiene.
