Association of Family Forest Owners Nepal (AFFON), Banke, in coordination with the Division Forest Office, successfully distributed and planted 11,800 saplings of valuable fruits such as Mango, litchi, and Jackfruit in Janki Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 and 4 on private land. The program was attended by Municipal Deputy Chief Rampyari Yadav, Chairman of Ward No. 2 Chandrika Prasad Gupta, and forest farmers. We express our deep gratitude to the Divisional Forest Officer Banke for providing the saplings, and we commend the collaborative efforts of our Banke branch, the municipality, the Divisional Forest, and various stakeholders in supporting private forest farmers. This initiative is expected to contribute to sustainable livelihoods for farmers and serve as a measure to combat the impacts of climate change in the Terai Region of Nepal. The Association of Family Forest Owners, Nepal (AFFON), Banke District Branch, has played a vital role in distributing 11,800 fruit seedlings to small landholding farmers, further enhancing their sustainable livelihood opportunities.
